Does Vitamin D help with Vitiligo?

Dr Joseph Georghy, a Sydney based cosmetic surgeon says that almost all of his patients with vitiligo has been found to be deficient in vitamin D. Vitamin D plays a crucial role in normal immune system. Thus, addressing the vitamin D deficiency along with tacking stress can greatly help in better vitiligo management.

  • As we know autoimmune diseases can be triggered by various reasons and very specific to each individual. A long term Vit D deficiency can be "one of contributing factor to auto immune". So if you have vit D deficiency then taking vit D supplements might help you, otherwise no use.  

  • I do agree with you,, my body is deficienct of vitamin D3 , for that I am taking it orally, and I can see desired improvement
