Hello new friends and I wish you all a Happy New Year.

My name is Dina and from beautiful State of California. Grateful I found this group and found comfort with knowing I am not alone. We know how it is to live with Vitiligo and can relate with one another. I was diagnosed with Vitiligo on 02/2016 and since then my transtion has rapidly progressed on my hands and neck. It has not been easy but with the love support of family, friends and more importantly love of oneself we will live a wonderful fufilling life. God Bless and thank you Steve Hargadon.

At this moment I am not trearing my vitiligo but am trying to eat healthier and avoiding food with gluten. I am also looking into take vitamin supplements. God willing I plan to have another child in the future so if I do take on any treatments it has to be something that won't have any side effects on my unborn child.

  • Hi, Deena,
I lived in Fresno for 14 years, also worked for Save Mart Supermarkets (12 years), resides in Memphis, TN.

Its so true, being able to relate to others.....with me a relief, when I notice others with the same conditions. I was diagnose in 2014, my hands, feet, lips, and some on my face (mainly under my beard).....Happy New Year!!!!!

    • Happy New Year Timothy. Yes it is a relief. I work directly with the public providing government services and do meet people with Vitiligio or their loved ones. They have offered me prayers, bring me medication from Mexico and others offer their advice.
  • yes you are not alone deena . now you got bunch of new family here .

    wish you speedy recovery :)

also wish you very happy new year in advance

    • Thank you Sunny. Yes a family that understands what I am going thru. During this journey sadly I have had some family members say rude and insensitive comments about my vitiligo. I pray to God to give me patience and peoples actions not make me a bitter person. I don't like to be on the defensive especially with my own family.
    • Hi, Deena-

Welcome!  God knows,  developing vitiligo isn't the easiest way to make friends.  Have you tried treating it?

      Kindest regards,

      Jackie
