  • Iv used veil makeup for three years but lately iv stopped and started using a tinted moisturiser. Makes my vitiligo blend right in but iv have lost most my pigmentation.
  • I use regular foundation in 2 colors and blend. Depending on skin tone you could use just 1 color that's in between your skin tone and the depigmented skin which might be easier than trying to match the light areas w/o leaving a darker border around the light area.

Once got makeup done w/ airbrushed foundation and it covered pretty well too.

  • its better to get depigmentation done if u have it on yor face so that there is no tentions to cover yor patches for yor face or yor arms n legs .u just get nice uniform color and care free life with no more botheration of makeup any more.

  • I find make up very heavy.  And in the summer, which is when my vitiligo bothers me the most, sewating and swimming just make the use of foundation impossible and impracticable.

I like BB cream that are tinted.  They do not cover up all but they kind of camouflage the skin...make it less obvious without it looking like I have an inch of foundation on.

When I do go out and I want to feel confident, I will wear foundation.  I cannot remember the name of the brand though.  I can check and get back to you.

  • Try Microskin concealer they claim it lasts for 1 week. I have not tried it but going to order it soon. There are two centres in U.S. and also in Europe, Australia and Turkey.
  • I have not had good success with makeup to cover up the vit on my arms and legs..but on my face I use tattoo cover up by Mehron which I discovered on Amazon.  I use a small amount on the vitiligo and then use long wearing foundation from Sephora (10 hour coverage). I have tried many brands and this works for me because I live in very hot and humid Houston, and this makeup stays on better.  The Mehron is like clay but I am vain and it works.  Hope this helps.

  •  you are lucky  you being a female is easy for you to use make up and cover up creams/lotion because females use make up anyways

for a male like me we are screw make up is not an option very patchy on the hands and face.. make us look very bad

  • Gina the best that I have come across and have used is Dermablend. They make a cover for hands and legs. You can go the their website and it is pretty simple to order by shade. Give it a try and let me know how you make out.

    Regards,

    Steve

    • Does the Dermablend rub off on clothes at all?
