  • So I first asked about, then ordered and finally used Microskin and this is what I feel about it.
I ordered it from two places-
    a) Microskin sample kit from USA containing 6 sample colors (no.3b, 4b, 5b, 7b, 8b,9b), 1 bottle removal liquid, 2 brushes, 1 powder puff, 8gm micro seal powder and 2 half pieces of sponge. It cost me total 350 usd {250+100(postage)} plus FedEx charged me an extra 1225 inr as they said customs duty was charged on it. It took 5 days to travel from USA to me in India.
    b) Microskin samples from Australia (no. 4,5,6,7 and 8), travel micro seal powder and some alcoholic swabs were kept for free for removing it. It cost me only 39 usd in total including charges for registered post. No customs duty was charged on it and it took 2 weeks to reach me. It was about 1/10 of what I paid for the other kit.
I didn't understand why FedEx charged me for customs duty while no custom duty was levied when it was sent through registered post from AUS. Maybe it was because of the price. I don't know for sure.
I first tried the USA samples on the back of my hands and neck- colors 3b,4b,5b and 7b did not match at all. Colors 8b and 9b were close but not an exact match and you can tell if you looked closely. The first day I applied micro seal powder on it sparingly ( so as to save it ) and also did not allow it soak into properly. So after around 5 hours it started coming off in some places and also areas where I put it started feeling sticky so much that someone could put a stamp and it would have stayed there. Next day I put the powder generously and also let it stay for 2 minutes. Then it lasted 12 hours before coming off from some places but areas where it stayed did not feel sticky at all the whole day,
Next I tried samples from AUS their color 8 was an exact match.
Oil is the biggest enemy of the durability of microskin whether it's secreted from your skin or from outside sources next is water but if you wash your hands only 2-3 times a day it will last for the whole day . There claim that it lasts for 1 week is totally not working for me not even on the neck. I wash my hands at least 10 times a day, sometimes use oil in my hair and everytime in lunch and dinner when I dip my roti (Indian bread) into my sabji (Indian veg curry) which is made in oil at the end on my meal its effect is down 10%. It's still far better than the Derma color I used earlier which would have come out all at once if I tried to eat my Indian food having it on. Which I never did.
It's better to buy it from Australia because it's less expensive there.
    • can you post some before and after pictures?

350 usd is expensive for an average guy like me

      • You can order it from Australia it's only 39 usd for 5 samples plus powder including postage.
I made a mistake ordering it from USA. Even the color samples from USA has made in Australia written on them. The brushes, plate etc has made in China stamp. So you can also buy them locally or use a spare plate at home.
In Australia each sample is for 5 $. When I ordered there was a 25% discount there.
For you I am posting the pictures of the kits from both USA and Australia.
And also the picture of my wrist after applying color sample no.6 from Australia you can match it with the earlier picture.
        • Saurabh,

I forgot to tell you that your posts about this subject were great.  Full of detailed info.  Thanks. I do appreciate that.

          • Thanks. So kind of you.
        • Hi SaurabhCould you please send both links?

How did you do the "color match"?

          Regards.

          • I send them both my photographs of the affected areas and then they suggested the sample colors which may match my skin color.

              • Your welcome Flávio. I try to tell everybody whatever little I know. Learned it from you guys to share information and discuss things which may be beneficial or helpful for all.
  • Hi
    Thanks for the reply.
I am also ordering Microskin from Newyork. They are at the moment deciding whether they can match my skin color from the photographs I sent. They say that they can't guarantee that it will be an exact match.
Even if their color don't match my skin color I can do so myself from the Sample kit which I will order along with the Custom Color. Sample kit + 1 custom color + postage= 250+100+100=450 usd comes to around 29000 Indian rupees which is quite expensive. But I want to try it out as I will use it sparingly on my hands and back of the neck. They will tell me on Monday whether I need one or two bottles of custom color as they say I may need separate colors for my hand and neck area, which would add another 100 usd to the total.
I will surely share my results with you and tell you whether it works for me.
