New to the site but not to the agony

Hello beautiful guys & girls. My name is Bhaskar and I am a newbie here. I have had this condition for quite sometime and believe me I been a part of this incredible roller coaster journey that no normal individual can ever experience. The reason I say my life has been a roller coaster is because whenever I see a new treatment option suggested by someone I feel very happy, I try it out for sometime, I would see no/little change and its back to depression mode....again someone else suggests something new and the cycle goes on.

Initially as everyone did, I felt terrible and even now I feel terrible at times. However, I keep telling myself that 'This is the way I am' I always try to see good things I have in my life and feel happy for those good things. I tell myself that I will make people notice me not by staring at my white patches, rather the kind of success I will achieve in my life. I can bet my last dollar on the fact that if I am successful, if I stand out from the crowd, if I can prove to the world that I am much more than a vitiligan, people will not see my vitiligo. I have decided to live my life with a 'This is how I am, if you have a problem with me FUCK you' attitude. There is no point feeling sad for something you and I have no control on. As a fellow vitiligan, my suggestion to you all beautiful people out there is this - 'There is no point feeling sad, infact stress increases your vitiligo(personal experience).....so, accept what you are and live life to the fullest'

I am looking forward to meeting new people, making friends and helping each other out. We are a family of 5700 odd and lets stand for each other. Cheers !!!

  • That actually means a lot when someone supports us ! Great attitude

  • Good spirit Bhaskar. I like your attitude... I had same and guess what, I am happiest person....

However, assuming you can take couple of things into considerations:

    1) Diet

    2) Breathing practice (PRANAYAM) and Yoga

    It helps !

good luck and keep smiling !

    Deepam
