Redefining Beauty/INVINCIBLE

Hello,

I am currently establishing a marketing campaign "Redefining Beauty".  It is very similar to Dove's campaign.........."Real Beauty. Google this. Using my tagline "Redefining Beauty", I emphasize the importance of beauty not being so narrowly defined. How we as females process the negatives, the hurdles, major illnesses, skin disorders, bullying, abuse, etc. in our lives and turn these experiences into positive and uplifting outcomes …………is beautiful.   Please read my attachment.  I am so excited about the endeavor.  I am really hoping that there is some interest.  There is no age requirement. Individuals can be nominated as well. If you are not interested, can you please like and/or reply to my topic.  Thanks in advance.
Also please make sure that you copy and paste the link below to watch Dove's campaign and short videos.......very enlightening!!!  Also please do not forget to read the short attached doc.

  • Hi Lena, thank you for your message. I would love to talk with you further and definitely support the vision behind your endeavor. Keep up the good work!
    • I am very very excited about the campaign.  Were you able to read both of my topics on the forum.....Redefining Beauty and Redefining Beauty - A Paradigm Shift including the attachment?  The fashion industry is very slowly trying to include females who are amputees, in wheelchairs and who have vitiligo and down syndrome.  I have to commend those designers.  I just hope that these beautiful females are not the flavor of the month, if you get my drift.  There needs to be a much broader change at a faster pace.........on a permanent basis............not seasonal. For the many females who have turned the negative in their lives into very positive outcomes, these are the stories to be told.  Stories that have started with you in a bad place to place of peace, confidence and happiness.  My handbags will provide an additional platform to share these stories.  The fact that you did not let vitiligo define who you are as a person is great!!!!.  You can be a mother, an artist, a writer, a motivational speaker, a great employee, a volunteer, etc. who happens to have vitiligo.  I hope that you want to join us.  I have attached one of the handbags and the brief write up.

      Thanks so much.

      Lena

  • I got your message on my wall and I watched both videos and read your attachment. I think that this is a great campaign. I have definitely went through some self esteem hurdles and endured many hurtful comments or behaviors from others having Vitiligo. I would love to help you Redefine Beauty. There are a lot of people who suffer everyday because they feel that they are not beautiful because of beauty being so narrowly defined. I used to be one. I would love to help show others that we are beautiful and to be comfortable in the skin that we are in. Let me know what contact information you need from me.

    • Hey Brittany!!.  Just want an update.  Are you still looking through your photos?

  • This is remarkable! I love how you acknowledged being ignored because of the mainstream. However, I also feel there are more people that feel unaccepted, lonely, misunderstood, depressed, than the 'accepted' ones (whatever that means).
This a great way to lift up everyone.
  • Hello everyone.  I have received 20 views, but no replies, likes or volunteers.  I would love it if I could receive responses to my campaign.......Redefining Beauty.   Please.

    Thanks,

    Lena
