spray tan

hi im a 17 year old girl who is starting to stress out about my upcoming grad dress situation. Im already a very pale person but on my arms and back my vitiligo is pretty noticable, i usually use hardcore makeup to cover it but my dress might be white/ light blue and i dont want any makeup to rubb off on it, anyways i was wondering if anyone thought spray tanning would be a good idea and if it would actually cover up the vitiligo or just make my whole body orange and the vitiligo a different shade of orange from the rest of my body. please let me know if you think its a good idea or not

  • If you want to spray tan you must find someone who knows ho to do it or learn to do it yourself. You have to do the spots first and then slowly layer again over the entire body. I used to get it done by a lady who was very good but it ended up costing so much that I decided to buy a MaxiMist home spray kit and do it myself. I'd suggest doing it yourself but give yourself enough time to have a few practices before your big night. Also fake tan changes the colour in your skin. After you apply for a few hours you have a shower and wash excess off. You wont have to worry about it coming off on your dress like makeup. Hope it helps.

  • Hi Hannah,

I would definitely go to several shops and talk with the personnel. I  would let them know your concerns and ask (in your kindest  voice:-) for a possible discount for a trial run. Lots of people have spray tans and  yes, some look 'orange' but most do not. Go for it!
