I started to cry, too.

I just received this message from someone who saw the http://UniquelyBeautiful.net photo page and requested to join Vitiligo Friends:

"the disease is now spreading to my arms, hands and legs - it started - it didn't bother me when I couldn't see but now I hate my hands - I'm also getting tired of people telling me that vitiligo is no big deal - seeing the page of beautiful people made me cry because I feel that I am not alone."

This is exactly what I have hoped would happen.  I've gotten so many positive emails about Uniquely Beautiful.  If you've been shy about sharing your photo, please consider doing so.  There are not names attached to them, no contact information, but they obviously make a difference.

So many of you have photos of yourself here that I would love to see on Uniquely Beautiful.  Please consider sending them to me at steve@hargadon.com so we can make this kind of difference for others who feel so lonely and discouraged.

  • Does anybody knows any herbal or any kind of treatment that helps sudden trigger in the old vitiligo disease. I’m going through the same. I looking forward for some help. Thanks

  • Thank you very much for your work!

  • Uniquelybeautiful brought tears to my eyes, I was thinking of doing something similar in the credits of my film. The viewing audience will be much larger and will definitely raise awareness for vitiligo.

  • Black or white, vitiligo is hard. I hate it when people tell you how you should feel.
    • Yes it is hard.  I am finding it so incredibly hard to accept this for my ten year old son.  I love him unconditionally, but the world is a very big and scary place.

  • I can totally relate to that. I was never comfortable posting pics on other social networking sites (eg. FB, Instagram). But this website makes more tempting to post more and more photos of myself so THUMBS UP, STEVE HARGADON :)

  • God Bless you bro !

  • God bless you my brother its ok we are Unique and thats awesome!!!!!

  • Its sickening just only because when someone sporting those PhD LmNOP :) fancy letters in dermatology in front of their name, with their smart glasses on , can only say - "I dont know" .

Trash your diploma yo! and off to McDonald`s you go :D :D

Never accept , never get used to your Vitiligo . There is no way in the world its not treatable . Something triggers it , that very same something can stop it ! And i have been through that .

    • i am a doctor suffering with vitiligo...so cant really sterotype us all...haha...it is a battle everyday.
