Regional influence on the Vitiligo cases

Does occurrence of Vitiligo has a regional influence and is it affected by the "flora and fauna" and the envoirnment of the place where you live? Reason for asking this question is that I have noticed many cases of Vitiligo in Gujarat, where as in other parts of the country cases are relatively less, off course this purely based on the observation which I made during my stay and travel in various parts of country.

    Indian state of Gujrat do have higher prevalence of Vitiligo in comparision to rest of india, food, water and environment combination or anything alone might be responsible, may get some clue if someone can differentiate/Compare these three factor with rest of india.

    I wouldn't rule it out! Municipal water sources can have an impact on gut flora depending on regulations. I only drink bottled water and preferably bpa free bottles. What goes into ones body is VERY crucial. Food water sups ect.
