    Hi Amy, I can relate to your issue. I also have vitiligo on the genital area, and it always has been an something that makes me feel insecure and embarrassed. I'm now 46 yrs old and have been married for almost 19yrs. I explained what it was to my wife when we started going out together nearly 26 yrs ago, and she has never asked about it again, nor has it ever bothered her. She's fantastic, however no will ever really make you feel at peace with this, regardless how much they love you and accept it. I have dark skin, so it's quite obvious, I've tried acupuncture, uv light, and tattooing. Some things got minimal results, but still quite obvious. Your partner will not understand the anxiety you have going to a public pool change room, or a public toilet (more so for a male) etc. It does still affect our relationship, purely because of my insecurity. All I can say, and I also have to try, is to somehow accept it and be happy with how you look. Also keep searching for an appropriate treatment
