  • Mark,

I saw your comment on 22-Feb-2010 on Vitix while searching on the name Vitix in the forums. This Vitix gel was recently recommended by my docotor for my 5 year old daugther. Can you please share your experience if you had used it, as i just want to make sure if its safe for my little princess.

  • HI Mark, lovelt to hear from you. Interesting ti hear that you got vitiligo after anti-biotics. Do you think it was a coincidence? Mine came after a very stressful time in my life and I can only put it down to that. Like yourself, I am fair and last month I did go out in the sun. HUGE mistake as now it looks even worse. I won't be doing that again!!! I admire your positive attititude and am trying very hard to be more positive. Hope to chat again. Have a great weekend xxx
  • Hi Mark. I have just found this great site having felt very alone with my vitiligo. I was diagnosed 2 years ago and devaststed. Be great to chat.
  • Well... may be it works sooner on others !! Anyway, give yourself up to 4 months to see if it works for you. Mind you, steroid based creams are more suitable for small areas of Vitiligo !! Why? When you apply it to large areas - too much of steroids will enter the blood circulation - leading to side effects !! There is a forum /discussion on this network titled "any new treatments for Vitiligo". Highly worth reading that !!

Haven't heard of Vitilix! Must search online !! Thanks !! TC
  • Hey !! Thanks for replying !! Any steroid based cream / ointment has to be used for at least 4 months before you see an improvement. Keep in touch. Good luck !!
  • Hi, are you going to the London Royal Society event? I am.

  • Hey! You mentioned using a steroid type cream! Is it by any chance called ELOMET Ointment 0.1%? (brand of Mometasone furoate). I've been using that for almost a year now and I have had good progress. Best wishes, Nadika, SL
