About Me:

Hi, my name is Ragini! A little bit about me: I work for the USPS as a postal clerk. Friends would describe me as positive, cheerful, humorous, and genuine. Some of my hobbies include curling up with a good book, tending to my garden, cooking, and getting involved in my community. I relax by watching movies, listening to good music, and spending time with friends and family. Some of my favorite movies /TV shows: Dr. Oz, anything funny, talk shows (i. e. Oprah), news, and the occasional soap opera/serial As far as sports, cricket is always interesting to watch, (though I can't really play!) I love the water, working out at the gym, doing yoga/pilates, and going for walks with my dog. Thanks for reading! :)

  • Hi Ragini,

You are beautiful; your physiognomy is majestic and who you are, will not be defined by a matter of pigmentation or a lack there of. I have vitiligo for 35 years, that is most of my life, and I "pride myself" with high moral values. So regardless of how I may look to others, and how they may look on me, and sometimes even whisper or say rude thing out aloud, I focused on my values, my worth, my inner self and consider whomever does such unseemly things as lacking  cognitive ability.

If you become  disheartened and  frustrated, will spread more rapidly, because your body's ability to help heal itself will be reduced. Vilitiligo is said to be an immune deficiency or immune disorder problem. Therefore, the better we are emotionally, the better it will be for our bodies to recover. Your body can  secrete Melanin. Though it may not secretes the amount that is needed. That is my personal belief. And if I knew then what I know now, I would have approached this condition differently 35 years ago.

Six months ago I started to make all kind of green vegetable juices and fruit juices and drinking these juices every day, (a different juice every day) and right now I am seeing areas of my skin changing back to its normal color. It's very slow, but I am watching it and feeling very excited about what I see happening. I am also taking vitamin supplement and eating only fish and chicken to get protein. I should also let you know that I am privileged to be living in the Cayman Islands, it's a lot of sun light all year.

What I set out to do, is to let my body's immune system recognize me. The immune disorder, causes the body to be destroying some cells that are good useful cells, but because it does not recognize those cells as a legitimate part of the body, it destroys them enemies invading the body. (That's how it was explained to me by my doctor). Therefore, I believe that if I consume more natural vegetables and fruits, it should help my body by giving it the needed vitamin and a chance to be "renormalized".

I know how hard it is, I have been there. I was 17 years old, when it all got started. I tried a lot. I went to many doctors, but medical science was not as advanced as it is now. I felt hopeless when I saw that there was no help for me. But amid that, I began to learn how to accept myself and be the best I could be. I have accepted myself, and feel proud of myself and trained my mind, so to think. Right now it's very hard for anyone to demoralize me or let me feel less than a healthy human being. And I say praise God for my Christian belief. (I apologize if you are not of the Christian religion).

Regardless of what your religious belief is, believe in yourself, have self confidence, love yourself, think good about yourself, think positively and realistically be practical and face every day with new mental vigor . BE A CHAMPION! BECAUSE YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND ADORABLE!

    Good night.
