About Me:

I've had vitiligo since I was 1...it never really bothered me until I got to high school and when I started caring about my appearance, but since then I have struggled with self esteem and accepting my differences from my other girlfriends. I still lead a very normal lifestyle, but the white patches have spread a lot over the past few years and it's discouraging. Other than that little depressing tale... I have a 5 year old son. I am a full time student. I love art history, movies, and music. I'm a sucker for karaoke. I love make up, clothes, and long hair...

  • Hi, How are you?  What are you using now for your vitiligo? I am still researching for a product that can actually work, also a good cover-up for the summer.  Any ideas?

  • Hey Tiffany,
I know how you feel. Unlike you I've had Vit for the past 5 years and Im 40. I cant imagine having to grow up with Vit. When I see young kids today that have it... my heart fills up with emotions. I want to say to them, it will be okay, be strong. I guess we have to say that to each other.....BE STRONG!
  • You are a beautiful person. Inside and out. I can share your pain. Take care. Add me to your friend list.

  • you look fine as a mo fo to me.
  • Can not tell you how much your comments have encouraged me. It made me reevaluate how I'm handling the kids situation. I will continue to take them to the derm. to see if early treatment will help, but I realize I can't focus all my attention on this. The info on self tanners gives me reassurance that my daughter can use a product and still feel confident in her cheerleading uniform, swimsuit, etc.
By the way, I see that you are in school and raising a young child. I've been there and it is hard, but if I'd like to give you a little advice in return for all your generous comments. "Finish and graduate !" I'm sure youv'e heard that a million times, but it is so true. I was in college and had two young kids, with a year left until graduation I quit. I always thought I would resume my education when the kids got a little older- but it is sooooo hard once your out of it for a while. Other priorities pop up and it never seems to be a good time. You really seem to have yourself together and I'm sure you will do great in the world of marketing. Thanks again and good luck.
  • thanks!!! Oh wow, marketing sounds great!! I'm majoring in dental hygiene :D
