  Hi Amy !!!! Thank you for the friend invite !!!! Good to meet you !!!! People stare because they do not know what vitiligo is about. You can give a brief explanation to family and friends about it. Thereafter - they will not even notice you have it. As for strangers - you can either talk to them about it - or completely ignore their stares. Take care !!! :) :)
