  I'm sorry you feel you have to hide from people...  Many of us have felt the same way.  For me, that stage passed after some time and I became more comfortable that other people were less aware of it than I was.  That "less aware" is kind of a two-edged sword:  they think less about it than we do, but the are also sometimes less sympathetic as well--not understanding how hard it is.
