  • I know what you mean, most people are surprised there is no cure for it (as if I wouldnt cure it if I could lol). But whenever I am sad I tell myself that at least it doesnt affect my physical or mental abilities. Overall I am quite healthy, I could have something that impacts me in much worse ways. Does it affect me emotionally, sure. But at least it doesnt inhibit me physically or mentally.

    • Hi, thanks dear for positive words..I am okay and what you are saying does make sense.appreciate what we have and rest leave it up to divine.
Are you treating Vitiligo any way??? Just curious.
  • I have developed vit on my lips , patches on lower left cheek and a spot on my neck. Its almost a year now and have been treated since then but with no significant positive results. Planning to start UV therapy and buying a home kit. Is anyone using one and is it advisable to do it at home without medical guidance and is it safe on lips?

  • Hi don't worry it can be cured but after cure u have to be religious
  • Here's something I learned when speaking to a counsellor. We defined my vitiligo as a 'monkey on my back'. That monkey had such a tight grip, he was taking away my spirit, my personality and the goals I wanted to achieve. I then learned that every one has an insecurity or 'monkey' and I needed to learn that it's normal to feel down sometimes but to not let the 'monkey' rule your life, rather let him chase behind you as no one's insecurity really ever is 100% not there. I hope that helps x
    • Thanks :-)
