  Nice to meet you Gene. This will be our first summertime coming up. Dylan already got a sunburn on his eyes at the pool last week, with a hat and sunscreen. Hes fair skinned on top of the vitiligo, but is able to tan up nicely. Im trying to keep him as covered as I can. His halo nevi got so burnt last year they blistered. So now he wears a swim shirt also. Hes been a little frustrated with that. Im sure he will adjust. What have you found work for your son so far? Take Care.

  Hi!!  Thanks for your post!  I too believe that there has to be a cure for vitiligo!!  We need more research!!  My son only tried protopic for 3 months and then the derm took us off of it.  we do take extra vitamins.  What does Petey take?  This disorder is so frustrating which is why I constantly obsess over it!  Please let me know if you guys have found anything that has worked!!  thanks so much, Christie

  I am currently using a steroid based ointment - but I have heard about UVB Light Band from members here. Add a "discussion" about it in this forum to learn about the good and bad of the treatment you mentioned.

  Hey !! Glad to find someone who wants to be proactive in finding the right remedy for VIT. At the moment I am "testing" Black seed oil capsules. I heard it enhances the body's immunity system. Good luck !!

  It sounds like you have been talking to my son's doctor. That is pretty much a direct quote from him "it could get better, it could get worse or it could stay the same". Good luck in your search for a remedy.
